Leupold stopped making/selling these for the civ market at the beginning of 2017. And when they did sell them, they were only $700-$800 and not well-liked.

So not only are these particular ones recycled and old, but they are crazy overpriced. If you pay more than $600 for this thing you are out of your mind.

The Microtech Halo II is at least $100 overpriced, and is 4 generations old. They are on Halo VI now. Even at 10% off it is still overpriced. Nowhere even carries them now because they are so old, but when they did, they were going for below $600.

Yup, melting point laws are all about controlling access to inexpensive handguns to keep the poor (who supposedly commit all the crime) unarmed. A .22LR/Mag revolver doesn't need to be made out of the same strength steel that a more powerful caliber would necessitate. The aluminum alloys these budget .22 revolvers are made out of hold up just fine to a lifetime of plinking. I've got the Heritage Rough Rider .22LR that I paid $109 for and it's a great little gun. Less than $200 shipped for the additional fit and finish of a Ruger sounds like it should be a win.

Thumbs up for a purdy SAA .45 Colt. No comment (that hasn't already been made in other threads) on buying via NGOA and having to do the trial membership cancellation dance to try and save a few bucks. Plus, owning a tribute gun always feels a little sketchy unless you actually are a member of the group being commemorated, especially if it is military or law enforcement. Sure, I played Texas Ranger a lot as a kid, and wouldn't mind continuing to do so with a gun like this out at the range, but I wouldn't want to for a second give the impression I am or ever was actually a Texas Ranger. Same reason I will never buy a military branded product. Seems kinda wannabe and almost stolen virtue to me. But she's purdy as heck.
