Zastava M83 Revolvers, .357 Magnum, 4" Barrel, Blued & Nickel Finish Available, Various Grips. Surplus Good to Very Good Condition - The Zastava M83 is a classic, originally produced by the Yugoslavian state arms factory Crvena Zastava for export and later adopted by the Yugoslavian army and police in the late 1980s. Issued to army NCOs and police officers, these revolvers remained in service throughout the region, including in Serbia and Macedonia, after the fall of Yugoslavia. The Zastava M83 is a traditional 6-shot revolver constructed entirely of steel, featuring a 4" barrel, side-opening cylinder, and a release latch on the left side of the frame. Its double-action trigger, exposed hammer, frame-mounted firing pin, and automatic transfer bar safety system provide reliability and safety. The double action on these s smooth with the single action (hammer cocked) being extremely light and smooth. Chambered in .357 Magnum, it can also fire .38 Special rounds for more economical shooting or practice. These are heavy frame revolvers built to withstand years of continuous use. Sights may vary with some having fixed sights and others with adjustable rear sights. Grips will also vary between rubber and wood and some even have etching or scrolling in the grips making them customized to the officer that carried them. These revolvers are available in your choice of blued or nickel finish which you can select as a custom option below. This historic firearm offers both collectibility and practical performance. All are in NRA Surplus Good to Very Good Condition and all will be mechanically sound and functional, but some of course will be cosmetically better than others.
