Before there was a Texas, there were Texas Rangers.
Formed by Stephen F. Austin, “The Father of Texas,” in 1823 to provide protection to the families living in his colony; the Texas Rangers are America’s oldest state law enforcement agency. Over the course of 200 years, many of the actions carried out by this storied group of stalwart officers have become legend and forever immortalized in history. Winchester rifles, the Model 1895 among them, were among the tools utilized by generations of Texas Rangers in the course of their duties.
This Winchester Model 1895 Texas Rangers 200th Anniversary Commemorative High Grade Rifle celebrates the individual spirit and tenacity these famous officers are known for and their vital role in taming the great state of Texas and the American West. This rifle features rich bluing on the metalwork and extensive 200th anniversary engraving on the receiver and magazine. The Grade III walnut stocks have a rich satin finish and are not checkered – as were many of the working rifles of the era. The buttstock is adorned only with a steel butt plate and Texas Ranger star medallion.
This rifle is available exclusively through Davidson's®, America's leading shooting sports wholesaler, who are also donating a portion of the proceeds of the sales to the Former Texas Rangers Foundation.
