Built in collaboration with Shadow Systems and John Lovell of the Warrior Poet Society, the new War Poet 9mm was created to be the ultimate lightweight, multi-role Pistol. WPS chose the MR920 as the platform because it excels as both a concealed weapon as well as a range pistol, and—more importantly—it features a terrific optics mounting system.

By redesigning internal slide components, Shadow Systems was able to relocate portions of the operating system to allow strong, deep screw placement; extremely low placement for true co-witness with iron sights; and, most importantly, direct mounting of several red dots WITHOUT adapter plates.

The Barrel.

For the barrel, WPS chose a 416R stainless barrel with conventional rifling—meaning it's compatible with lead bullets. Stainless steel is highly corrosion resistant, so it'll last far longer when exposed to sweat or humidity. The barrel is fluted to reduce overall weight, and comes threaded to accommodate a muzzle brake of your choice.
