I was about to buy this for my 16" AR, even had my CC out to buy it. But I decided to think it over for a minute and this scope setup just didn't make much sense to me. I have the PST 6-24x50 on my 24" AR10 and it's awesome....

But...

Why would you need exposed turrets on a 1-4x with that type reticle. You could easily do a small hold over instead of messing with the zero. If your shooting at ranges where the exposed turrets are useful, 4x is probably not optimal.

Then I thought about how small the reticle must look at 4x. On my 6-24x FFP scope, the reticle gets pretty darn small at 6x . 6x is usable, but it's about the bare minimum. I couldn't imagine trying to go 33% smaller and trying to get decent use of it..

I think if this scope was a 1-6, it would have been perfect. But the features this scope has makes me question why they are there on a 4x.

Maybe this scope fits your needs better than mine, and if so this is a great deal. Just thought I'd share my thoughts before you spend your cash on this.

Haven’t seen this cheap before at $277. Likely the last of them.

Have one of these on one of my carbines. It is a solid optic. I'm waiting to get a Gen 2 1-6x24 to replace it. This one will go on one of my other carbines. For this price, this is a steal.

Great turrets, nice glass, built like a tank. Not a fan of the reticle. Too busy for me. Also, reticle is pretty small.
