Does anyone know how these hold up on recoil? For $99.99, i might slap one on my s&w 1854 and see how I like it with a red dot.

The Sig Sauer Romeo5 Gen II can be found for this price. More durable, better battery life and similar warranty now!

Why would someone purchase one of these when you can get a Romeo 5 or Holosun 403R which are half the weight and same price? You're buying an Aimpoint Comp size dot without the benefits.

I don't get it either . The HS403c I just bought at primaryarms for the same price is 1/2 the weight and has solar failsafe, meaning that the battery will last ~forever and it's always ready to fight.

If your on the fence don't be, great optic for a great price, has red/green dot, flip up caps and the lifetime warranty is worth the price itself. Just remember this is a BIG RED DOT it's 5 3/4 inch's long so if space is a priority maybe go with a smaller version.

Anyone experience a delay in processing? I ordered one on 1/5/22 and it is still processing.

I had some issues with their other optic delivery because I used P.O. box, took over a month for delivery.

I ordered one about a week ago and it arrived in a couple days with no issue. Of course I only live about 1.5 hrs from their shop.

Works well, especially for the price, great controls and is durable enough to work flawlessly on by bullpup 12-GA

That is indeed a great price at $119, no doubt. I grabbed one.

Big - but I like the ergonomics on it. On my ar15, I am able to cowitness with iron sight. Like the knobs and great optics as well. Bought one as a spare.

I had one of these on my 10.5” pistol, but it I couldn’t really use it with a magnifier because it took up too much space. It was a good sight and I like the red/green options you get with unlimited eye relief. But I ended up swapping it for a Romeo5 that I use with a Juliet3 micro.

Why too big and heavy for my liking, you'd do better with a Sparc. People saying Vortex is overpriced, but you won't find a better warranty anywhere.

Looks about the same size as my Aimpoint Comp M3. Very nice optic I wonder how the Vortex compares.

Have a Vortex Sparc AR and it's great. Takes a single triple A battery and has something like a 30,000 hour battery life on medium. Only thing I wish it has was a quick disconnect.

Can this be mounted on picatinny rails?

Anything Vortex is going to be overpriced for what it is. In this case, it would appear to be $10 more than the Romeo 5 on Amazon for $119. Not to mention, the Romeo 5 is 2MOA, vs this Vortex at 4MOA. I have yet to find a compelling reason to buy Vortex. Everytime I've shot through one, I've been underwhelmed. When I ask people why, they always say "the optics are better", "the glass is better", etc. But unless it's giving you a measurable, quantifiable improvement (better grouping, more hits at long range, more turkeys dead, more ISIS members killed, whatever), they just hardly seem worth the price premium.

Not on every rifle. Even this one is overkill for a range gun. I buy 30$ optics, use for a year until it falls apart and buy another one. I don’t see any difference of cheap 30$ Chinese scope comparing my Aimpoint Pro other than aimpoint does not break that often

Too big... Much rather get a Sparc for the price range.

Awesome red dot. Have it on one of my ARs, but Romeo5 has taken over as best red dot for value

I bought the SPARC II for this price from Brownells. Any opinion on if this would have been a better choice?

    0 votes

I did the same. I actually bought 2 of the SPARC 2's from Brownells at that price. Excellent red dot. WHY is the Strikefire a better option than the SPARC2? The only advantage I see to the Stikefire over the SPARC is being able to change between red and green reticles.

Very similar size, shape, weight to an AimPoint. I've beat mine to hell too and never had an issue. I think they are great for the price.
