Damn these things are beat to shit! Just look at the one where the shell deflector is missing a chunk. "LE MARKED" Or not, if it's beat up like this there is very little investment or provenance value....at best these are just shooters and or convention pieces.

Wow. You talk a lot. Doesn't look "beat to shit" to me. Clearly you have no clue on the desirability and current prices of old Colt parts and guns. Good luck finding a "C" marked Colt for $650 elsewhere.

I purchased an AR15 M4 with heavy barrel without M203 cut, LE and "C" markings, and in EXC+ condition from a local dealer for $695.00. It was 100%.

You did well. I'm sure many of us weirdos who've been collecting and shooting this stuff would like a similar deal. My Dept. sold ours for nearly 3 times the purchase price for cash to buy dozens more of the newer, cheaper model, including red dots. In what State was your purchase made? Does this dealer have a stock of 'em for the rest of us? Was that recent? Is it the Carbine lower or LE6940? Is the bolt etched or stamped? Is the barrel C/MP marked? C marked upper? Is the handle Cage coded? Have you checked prices and availability for these uppers, barrels, bcg's, etc. on GunBroker and similar auction houses, surplus parts houses like Summit, Thoroughbred Armory, Charlies Custom, Arms Unlimited, Apex, Sarco, Numrich, etc.? Do you have a link for the rest of us to find a similar deal? Thanks for your help! Oh, here, I'll give you an "up vote" for your trouble. You seem a bit grumpy.
