I once went to a public outdoor range where a guy had a .50 cal and was mag dumping. After pissing everyone off at the 200yd line, he set the range on fire. Turns out he was mag dumping .50 cal tracers that caught the grass of the backstop alight. I ran to find the range officer, he tried to pack his stuff and run. Fire department came, police came, he got banned.
Moral of the story: Know your ammo. Know your target and what is beyond it.
