FEATURES
The Taurus TX22 is a highly reliable and versatile handgun chambered in .22 LR, designed to deliver an exceptional shooting experience for both new and experienced gun owners. With a 4.10-inch barrel, the TX22 offers impressive accuracy and precision, making it ideal for a variety of uses, from recreational shooting to training and plinking. The precision-engineered barrel, paired with a smooth, crisp trigger, enhances the overall shooting experience, allowing for tight groups and consistent performance.

One of the standout features of the Taurus TX22 is its 22+1 capacity. With a 22-round magazine and an additional round in the chamber, this handgun offers an extended magazine capacity that makes it more practical for extended range sessions or defensive training. The generous capacity reduces the need for frequent reloads, allowing shooters to focus more on their technique and less on the interruption of magazine changes. This makes the TX22 an excellent choice for those seeking a firearm that combines high capacity with the convenience of .22 LR ammunition, which is both affordable and widely available.
The TX22 is also equipped with a threaded barrel, providing shooters with the option to attach a suppressor for those who prefer a quieter shooting experience. Whether for tactical applications or noise reduction, the threaded barrel allows for enhanced customization, making this firearm more adaptable to various needs. This feature further enhances the versatility of the TX22, catering to those who prioritize noise control during shooting.

Taurus has built the TX22 with ergonomics in mind, ensuring that the handgun is comfortable and easy to handle for a wide range of users. The textured polymer grip provides a secure and firm hold, reducing hand fatigue during extended shooting sessions. The design of the grip, coupled with the balanced weight distribution of the firearm, ensures that the TX22 remains stable and easy to manage, even for those with smaller hands or less experience with firearms. The ambidextrous controls make the TX22 user-friendly for both left- and right-handed shooters, further enhancing its accessibility and versatility.

For $250, im in for 2.... But after reading reviews, i decided NOT to get the package with the Viridian Green Dot. Reviews were shitty saying the body is plastic, flexes, shitty plastic lens that is fragile and has clarity issues. I'll be looking for deals on optics for these two new additions... Im hoping these scratch the Ruger Mk IV itch i've been having!

Has the recoil spring issue been fixed on these gen 2’s? The gen one full size tx22 had a horrible recoil spring design that was cracking the slide of the pistol in as little as a 1000 rounds. Taurus will forever be on my shit list for this. I tried calling and negotiating a replacement while paying extra money to get it done and they told me to kick rocks. They refused to accept the fact that my pistol would do the same thing as these photos, even though my pistol had already received DEEP peening/gouges to the pistol slide from the recoil spring and I only did one range trip of 325 rounds with it!!!!! So basically once the slide does snap or crack all the way through, I have to wait a couple weeks and a trip to the post office for these idiots to send me back yet another defective gen 1 tx-22. I highly doubt they would send me a gen 2 as a warranty replacement for a gen 1 since that is literally what I asked them beforehand and to pay extra money to make it happen. Nope they do not care. Add taurus to your purge list if you plan on leaving the earth.

Yo that middle picture is mine lol, yeah Taurus made it right but it took over a month to get a new slide for mine once I sent it in.

I have to wait till mine breaks like yours to get a replacement they said. Then what? It breaks again because they dont provide a new recoil or slide design to fix the problem. Instead they keep selling them out of the box with this fatal malfunction. On too of that they design and sell a second generation of the pistol with its own set of fatal issues.

#1 Like I told you before I don’t need another account this is my only one. #2 You brought up the troll comment while the conversations in here seemed to have calmed down. “ Perhaps Lead By Example “ your words remember troll ?

Was quiet until you opened your yapper calling someone a troll. 4liberty I see hasn’t been around and wonders if some snitch ratted him out and got him banned? Weird If he did get banned and someone else hasn’t got banned. Uhmmmmm.

*Edit, look at the troll go, isn't even worth a reply to its MULTIPLE posted rants to my single comment. 4crybaby's alt account (or fanboi) couldn't be more self-unaware.

And there it goes, back to full troll mode when the the alt account comes back online to white knight poor trouble maker.

And no idea why a contributing user wouldn't get banned and a full time troll might get shown the door (in theory). Crazy to think there might be a difference in perceived behavior. Perhaps you two can talk it over in the mirror?

My God... Why can't you guys chill the fuck out already. I am sure I'm not the only one sick of seeing your guys dick measuring contests on here. Grow up! Get very yourselves, you only look like fools. Don't you guys have anything better to do than rant, rave and try to put do each other? I mean how old are you guys? The way your acting I'm half convinced your not even old enough to buy a gun...

The troll went away and notice how quite this place has been since? Problem = solved.

I don't see any reason to buy a gun and then hope. Explaining the obvious about Gen 1 or 2 doesn't help in the least, you could try contacting PSA or Taurus directly M-F before putting yourself through the hassles of a return.

"Explaining the obvious about Gen 1 or 2 doesn't help in the least."

Except if you are expecting one of those differences. Not to mention the (old) photo provided by PSA contradicted those features and generation. For example; being optic ready wasn't a standard feature of the Gen 1. Nor was threaded barrel or cut slide. Thread barrel or slide cut = Gen 2. Optic ready = Gen 2. Therefore if you attempt to connect the dots of threaded barrel or slide cuts, you can deduce it is optics ready as well. Updated photos from PSA confirm all of this to be true.

"I don't see any reason to buy a gun and then hope"

I personally wasn't 'hoping' for anything. Plenty of mistakes happen in the gun world, especially via online purchases with countless SKU's and 'generations' out in the wild. The ability to refuse an FFL shipment is your last layer of defense and is an important thing to keep in mind, you always have the ability to refuse the transfer and it is the FFL's job to ship the firearm back.

Obviously the gun picture posted isn't the same as the description, that was the whole point of the discussion. You thought by describing the difference of the older generation to the new generation would help him figure out what gun he would receive is hilarious. We already knew what the difference was but you thought you might actually contribute to the conversation by posting the obvious which was funny as hell. If you ever post anything beyond a 3rd grade level we will all be amazed.

"you always have the ability to refuse the transfer and it is the FFL's job to ship the firearm back." Except now you have a gun you purchased but will be waiting weeks to receive if you ever do, you may end up with a refund and waiting another week for that. Why go through the hassles, just make sure you're getting what you want before purchasing, that's what adults do.

Next time you think you are going to school someone have your uncle proofread it first.

"Obviously the gun picture posted isn't the same as the description,"

Thus why I replied to the comment mentioning the photo not matching the description as it was the basis and genesis of entire the conversation. "Obviously" indeed.

“The pic doesn't show this to be optic ready either on this site or PSA's site? “-Livinitup1976

LOL, 3rd grade reading comprehension would be a blessing for you.

The rest of your rant is just deflection and attempting to distract from yet another one of your constant failures of fundamentally being unable to maintain an adult conversation, especially around the subject of firearms. Always digressing into emotional outbursts and name calling.

“The pic doesn't show this to be optic ready either on this site or PSA's site? “-Livinitup1976 Exactly we already knew WHY the photo didn't match the description captain obvious, your 3rd grade explanation wasn't needed. Trying to explain why an adult would make sure they are buying what they want isn't a rant drama queen, it was addressing another one of your comical posts that you think is actually helping someone. You are oblivious to what an adult conversation even looks like and proved it once again on this thread.

OMG, you cannot keep up with your own rant. LOL. Sorry kiddo, the adults are talking, go back to finger painting.

Hey captain obvious can you tell us again that the guns are different? You should try some more lead paint chips then respond again with a clearer picture of why the guns are different.

I tried to explain it, several times now, but you cannot grasp the concept yet won't let it go. You continuing to pound your chest about how little you can comprehend isn't the "win" you think it is.

LOL, have a great day "dido." I'll enjoy reading your "drivel"....if I can get to them before getting deleted by the mods ;)

It has nothing to do with a "win" why do you keep trying to say it is? Is it because you really think you might get something right? None of my post have been "deleted" bY ThE mOdS LOL! I've already proven that, maybe you're stuck in the "Bermuda Triangle" in a different "timzone" you should ask the mods for help.

Could you "explain it" again that the picture of the gun is different than the description? Bahahahahaha!

The pic doesn't show this to be optic ready either on this site or PSA's site? Or am I just blind?

Looks like they have updated the PSA listing but not the gun.deals pic. PSA now shows an optics plate as well as a threaded barrel, slide cuts, and extended mags. Based on the photo here I assume the gun pictured is a gen 1 being it has a non-threaded barrel with a crown, no slide cuts, and all flush fit mags.

Always makes you wonder what will be waiting for you at your FFL when it finally does hit the ground. I've been caught off guard (good and bad) before. If UPC 725327943624 is correct I'd imagine it should be gen 2 based on other google results for the same #. You of course can always refuse the transfer if need be, still a PITA though.

I also don't see optics ready on either site, I think my vision is still pretty good.. lol. The one's on the Taurus website have different UPC's and are either compact or threaded barrel models.
