Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I'd sit here and say that a Taurus, specifically this tx-22 would be the best available, off the shelf , semi auto .22 pistol on the market. This is a great pistol. Taurus found a way to make a 22 caliber semi auto pistol run reliably and accurately. For decades very few companies have manufactured RELIABLE semi auto rimfire pistols. Sure there are a couple others that cost 2 to 3 times the price. However for an off the shelf, "budget" pistol you can't beat it. If your on the fence then I say go for it!
My wife and I both have these and love going to a "range date" together. We pack up a nice lunch and head to the range for the afternoon. It's probably the reason we've been married now for 21 years. Nothing spices up a relationship like slinging lead down range! Lol.
