With the current rebate a 92fs can be had for 499. Not sure I see the point of getting a Taurus.
Well, for one, you may want to check the placement of the safety on the Taurus vs the Beretta.
And in this deal, you're getting the Taurus (which, again, I think is every bit the weapon) and five mags for cheaper than the 92fs AFTER the rebate. If you look up the history, Taurus purchased an entire facility and all the tooling directly from Beretta to produce the PT-92, so you're not sacrificing design or quality at all in this instance, all you're doing is preferring one brand name over another.

Own a PT-92 and it's a fantastic weapon. It's accurate, good trigger, decent sights, great safety and decocker placement. You can have your reservations about Taurus as a company, but these are solid, they feel and fire every bit as well as the Beretta 92, and you won't regret the buy.
