The S&W M&P 15 Volunteer XV is a ligtweight 5.56NATO carbine that is great for home defense and range use right out of the box. The Volunteer is loaded with top-tier accessories from manufacturers such as Radian™, B5 Systems, and Bravo Company with a BCMGunfighter M-Lok forend with aluminum heat shield to lessen heat transfer, B5 Systems Bravo Stock with ergonomic cheek weld & Sure grip stock latch, and an upright B5 Systems P-Grip 23 with 13° grip angle for comfortable precision. The Volunteer is ready to run with adjustable A2 front post and Magpul MBUS flip up rear sights. The gas operated Volunteer VX sports a 16" threaded barrel with 5R rifling for accuracy and an A2 flash suppressor, chromed firing pin, and flat faced trigger. S&W included the standard features shooter demand such as a forward assist and a forged integral trigger guard. Of course Smith & Wesson reliability and performance are built in.
