Great Little Carry Gun, no fancy bells or whistles, small, light, easy to carry and 11+1 is enough ammo lead weight for my needs. The undercut trigger guard means you get a nice high grip, leaving a little bit of real estate for my pinkie finger, enough to steady but not really grip. Stippling ensures a good purchase and it feels good in my hand, some find it too abrasive to whom I say, a fine grit sanding block to a polymer grip works fine without adding sleeves or anything bulky. It has a rail that will go unused as adding underbarrel accessories means good luck finding a holster and this is a carry gun, I want to keep as small as possible, so no need to add an optic either but it would have been nice to have the night sights on the OR model for almost no price difference after rebate. The only potential show stopper for some folks will be hand strength and the ability to rack the slide on this little guy, especially with a full mag and one in the pipe, things are real tight and the spring is real strong for a reason, to reduce recoil in a very light pistol and keep muzzle rise to a minimum to minimize limp writing jamming, a common issue in most ultralight. Once you've gotten it loaded and start pulling the trigger, this one is bang bang bang reliably.
I agree. apart from racking the slide and the sights (for this price point I find it acceptable), this is an accurate shooter and very nice concealed carry. Magazines options are also limited in my opinion
My biggest complaint deals with the sights, while fully functional, the rear corner scratches my stomach when carrying, especially when I pull out my T Shirttail to conceal. As far as mags, you have a decent selection between, Calif and Non-Calif flush fit and extended mags for pinkie space, as how many rounds of lead to you really want to add to your load daily? For me, anything over 6 + 1 is enough, 11+1 is double that of a revolver with minimum total weight to carry daily, not just often.

I have 3 of these. I hate the rear sights. I also have 3 of the sc. I assumed that since they all share the same STR9 name that the sights are interchangeable between them. One of my rear adjustable sights would move far left under recoil so replaced it with the sc 2 dot sights. Fit fine but later noticed a small crack in the slide originating from the sight location. Contacted stoeger to buy a new slide and was told the slides are serialized to the frame and no option to replace it. Be aware these are throwaway pistols. I'm sticking with gun makers where parts and support are available, Glock the top of my list.
