Yep, I've had that problem with other guns I bought with stock nightsights, no telling how long they were in the mfg to market stage, and come pretty dim out of the box. I'm starting to question tritium sights altogether, the added expense and trouble when you probably won't be shooting in a dead dark environment or without a light, or at such close defensive >7 yd range with a carry gun that anything more than torso accuracy isn't that important. Too bad you didnt send that mc with the bad rear sight back into stoeger, I want to hear about repair times and thats a simple one.
Biggest bargains on the market, Stoeger makes a quality product, and the rebate yields insanely low prices. I own a STR9-c and sc, plus just ordered a mc now that they offered the rebate again. Better trigger than a PSA Dagger or G19 Clone, better ergonomics and cheaper too.

Agreed, I have 3 of the SC and 3 of the MC. I just don't like the adjustable rear sight on the MC. One on mine broke stuck far to the left. I ended up replacing it with a SC sight, but it was tough. 2 of my SC's came with night sights and they're barely visible. Had some trouble finding HP ammo that didn't jam in the SC's and finally found Grizzly 124gr worked in them. The MC's shoot everything I put in them.
