Springfield Armory® proudly presents the Model 2020 line of bolt action hunting rifles, which are meticulously crafted to offer custom-grade accuracy and performance at a more accessible price point. The Model 2020 Waypoint model boasts a premium carbon fiber stock and is available with a carbon fiber barrel, which comes with an impressive .75 MOA accuracy guarantee.

The foundation for exceptional accuracy and performance lies in the all-new Model 2020 action, which is precisely manufactured using premium materials and advanced production techniques. The fluted bolt's dual locking lugs run smoothly down EDM raceways for perfect, repeatable engagement, while the optimized extraction cam ensures reliable extraction in any condition. The bolt also features dual cocking cams for ease of operation and toolless disassembly for maintenance.

The Model 2020's receiver features top-tier features and refinements that offer strength and repeatability. Machined recoil lugs and electrical discharge machining of the bolt lug raceways provide precision dimensions and smooth cycling, while the enlarged ejection port, sliding extractor, and hybrid dual-plane feed ramp deliver reliable and repeatable performance.

Springfield Armory worked with AG Composites to create the rifle's premium line of carbon fiber stocks, which are hand-laid, made from 100% carbon fiber, and pillar bedded for a perfect marriage to the action. The Waypoint model's carbon fiber stock strikes the ideal balance between rock-solid strength and mobility.
The Waypoint model also features a TriggerTech trigger with Frictionless Release Technology™, which provides a crisp, clean, and repeatable pull. Additionally, an optional 3-axis adjustable cheek comb allows for repeatable shooting comfort, and the stock includes five QD mounts that enable the rifle to be slung in various configurations.

The Model 2020 Waypoint™ has a removable SA Radial Brake that directs gasses outward, effectively reducing recoil, with a thread protector included. The rifle is available in a premium hand-painted carbon fiber stock in Ridgeline camo. The AICS pattern magazine ensures reliability, while the Pachmayr® Decelerator recoil pad provides maximum recoil reduction and shooting comfort.

The Model 2020's lock time, the time it takes from the trigger break until the firing pin strikes the primer, is faster than the competition, with primer strike in just 1.9 milliseconds. This means less deviation from the point of aim due to movement during the shot, providing exceptional accuracy.
