Was wondering the exact same thing. The descriptions are identical, but the product codes are different and there are two seperate listings on their site, with 10202 now showing out of stock. The one I just purchased last night on layaway is this listing, the 10202W one. Anyone know if there are any differences between the two models?

Sorry for the confusion. They are the same product and product number. The "W" is an in-store designation that helps us differentiate between web items and in-store items. Thanks

The 10202 went out of stock Friday when they put that one at $499. I was able to grab one.

They had a sale last week on a similar 15, I say similar because part number was 10202 and today its 10202W, I cant find any other differences besides a number.

Bought a sport last year. Wish I would have waited.

I put mine on layaway and it was about 77$ for first payment for anyone interested. I don't think these can get any lower. I own a ruger ar556 so I'm looking forward to comparing the performance of both.

999, the Ruger is the better buy/rifle.
Below are reasons why the Rugers better,
4140 CHF Steel barrel
Unique delta ring unscrews and makes swapping handguards out easier without the tool.
Proprietary but nicer muzzle flash suppressor
Reguardless, for $500 one cant go wrong with the S&W

Their layaway isn't bad .90 days with %10 down and no account setup fees like others do .

My LEO discount price is higher than this...awesome price on a awesome entry level AR. I like it more than Ruger's AR-556. If i didnt already own 6 ARs, Id be all over this.

@stacking999, lol dude you are a bad influence .I did the same and bought one on layaway.

I wish SG would but doubt it. I just put mine on layaway to lock in the price. I'm gonna pay it off overtime while I use my RugerAR556 in the meantime. If SG had it for that price I would order another SW just to have two.

@MJ28 Did you get one from Whitaker?
I was lucky enough to order one at that price a few days ago. I think the price went up to 539.99 last time I checked. Helluva a deal and likely the lowest they will ever be.

@stacking999 ,

No,I didn't buy one and the price didn't change
($499). I'm waiting for SG to match them :-). You think they will?

@ whittakerguns.com $499 ($12 shipping?)

Its definitely a buyers market at the moment but things can change quickly. Anything in the low 500s for this quality ar and lifetime warranty is a steal IMO. I have friends who say to just build my own but after adding up the cost and time of doing that you don't get a lifetime warranty. I still plan on tinkering with it and adding on extras overtime cause it's good to know how to build one. Any extra parts can go on future builds. This is the second best price I've seen for these so far.

Just ordered one for 517 shipped. They have insurance charge of 5$ but no big deal. Ive been researching and watching prices on these and other similar ARs and decided this was the best I've seen especially for a lifetime warranty. All I shoot is brass and take excellent care of my rifles so should last a lifetime.. and if not send it into sw. As long as they are still in business of course. Keeping fingers crossed especially with the gun grabbers in the coming elections.

Congrats, you practically stole that M&P! For $517 + ffl fee this is a bargain.

Amazingly my M&P sport ran cheapo Tula and Wolf steelcase ammo 100%, no failures at all for its first 300 rounds. Feel free to buy a box or two of steelcase and try it - you may be pleasantly surprised.

Double your money in November. Buy 6 or 10 of these now as an investment in anticipation of Hillary's coronation.

It's crazy right now as I picked up a Windham weaponry Dimondback head 300 blackout for $620!! If you watch this site closely you can get complete AR's at significantly less then building right now. Watch the 50% tab as they show up on there without posting.

What WW 300 Blackout are you referring to? And where from? Thanks in advance

Oh and almost forgot the warranty saves me as barrel had to be replaced and they paid shipping both ways over night. Plus they are cerekoting the entire AR for no charge! Their amorer put a nick in reciver when replacing barrel plus they through in 3 new lancer mags... Moral of story is a warranty can be a life saver!! Not to mention check out Head Down AR's as they are the best in biz!!! They also come with sub MOA guarantee!!!

Don't know that it makes sense to build your own AR's anymore unless your doing it simply for hobby... Agree with earlier comment. Lifetime warranty and mbus site plus s&w quality control. To bad I just picked up a Head Down
pV13. That was the same situation. Would have cost me $1400 to build and I paid $950 plus got warranty for life!!! I will stick to buying completes until (if) prices go up..

Tell me about it. I went the PSA upper and lower route last year, and after fees, sight, and BCG, it ran around $650.

0 votes
1 vote

Really? I can do a PSA upper, lower and BCG right now for less than $450 after transfer.u can buy a "blemished" complete lower for $139 delivered (which really isn't blemished) several different upper options under $200 delivered, and they have a premium BCG delivered for $89. The advantage of the PSA is the 1:7 twist, although the S&W will likely hold re sale better due to name recognition. And you get a back up sight with the S&W. Also, S&W bolts are not full auto profile and the PSA is, the PSA bolt is a bit sturdier.

But I'm not bad mouthing this great deal on the S&W.

Great price! The description on the site says it's a chrome-lined barrel, though. The II is Armornite, I believe.

Indeed the barrel is Armornite - the exact same process as Melonite, but Melonite is a trademarked name so they can't use it in advertising.

I bought a CZ452 from them a few weeks ago. No CC fees, low shipping cost, and shipped the same day. An excellent experience.

They'really giving these away at 500. I don't need another ar but lifetime warranty on these smith's. Do you have a lifetime warranty on your $500 build?

Great price on this (don't know if they charge CC fees), I spent almost $600 for my M&P Sport II, but well worth it, it absolutely loves steel case ammo. Shot 6 magazines each of Tula and Wolf with no failures on its first outing.

They get you on the shipping. I ordered a pistol and selected the $20 something shipping, which it let me but got an email the next day, saying I had to select the $30 shipping. I answered back later that day saying that is kind of high but go ahead with it. I get an email saying they sold out and would credit my credit card. They didn't. After a few days I contacted them again, and they credited my credit card. The first and the last time I will deal with them.

Awesome! Building is always good but so is a lifetime warranty. I say its best to have both builds and one from SW.

12.99 shipping. If it still comes with packaged 30 round Magpul magazine in addition to three 20 round magazines, an outstanding deal.

Anyone know about Whittaker Guns? GTG?

Knowing I just built another with a Spikes lower, nickel fcg and a bad ass CHF upper w/ nickel boron bcg for less than this gives me a HUGE pride boner.

While its good for you that you built a rifle you consider better for less, not everybody is into building.

Just purchased and received mine and is well worth the money. It is my first ar15 and am very happy with it. Kentucky gun co. Fast shipping, great customer service. My son in law is ex navy with 2 tours in Iraq and he prompted me to get an ar15 and he said this one is as good as one twice as expensive. I could not be more pleased with the firearm and Kentucky gun co. Was little apprehensive about paying and shipping etc from out of state but was great.

Took advantage of this a few weeks ago, didn't pay shipping bc local, but had to pay taxes. Very respectable store. Took it to the range right after picking it up, shot well, but it's my first AR.

FYI Georgia gun store will have back in stock shortly I'm sure for 539. They have gone through a couple batches. https://gun.deals/product/sw-mp-sport-ii-556-nato-16-30-rd-blk-53925?mobile=true...

I prefer the Ruger myself. Also, I picked up a Windham recently in 300 blackout for 750 and absolutely love it!! Lifetime warranty as well. Watch Sportsmans guide as they have the diamondhead 300 blackout on sale for 750 occasionally and that's wirth the extra money imo.. Entry level Windham will run $600 and they are great guns. A military buddy told me about them. The guy who started bushmaster owns them. Great story as well...

I can confirm this deal. My friend ordered one and it's on the way with tracking to our local FFL. And it's not hard to do a little research on this company. They have over 8,600 likes on Facebook and some pretty funny political posts. My friend simply ordered/payed for the rifle on their website, called the local FFL and that was it.
