The MCX SPEAR is Sig Sauer's submission to the U.S. Army Next Generation Squad Weapon Program - a program intended to replace the current M4A1. The MCX SREAR is outfitted with fully ambidextrous controls including the safety and bolt release, as well as two non-reciprocating charging handles, one mounted on the left side and one at the rear.
