As with all of the Sig Sauer modern sporting rifles, the trigger is standard AR15 style 3-hole with conventional hammer design allowing it to be compatible with virtually any aftermarket trigger. The ambidextrous bolt catch/release is located on both sides of this rifle making it extremely flexible in operation and ergonomics giving users multiple options on usage or configuration.

The SIG MCX-SPEAR LT is the latest in AR15 style modular rifles with a lightweight handguard for increased modularity, ambidextrous bolt release and a very thin profile barrel that reduces length and weight.
