That is true, I believe many safes will have an issue with moisture depending on your local climate. If you were to place a firearm or even papers it would be a good idea to get some silicone gel dehumidifier. Amazon has them for fairly cheap (This is not a deal just an example) http://amzn.to/1CGc4HD...

Says not to use for firearms - Sentry Safe products which offer fire protection have a proprietary insulation that has a high moisture content. In addition, the SentrySafe advanced safes close airtight to offer water resistance, which may also cause moisture to accumulate inside your safe.
