Features:
The SAR9 is one of the most thoroughly tested pistols available, endurance-proven by 150,000 rounds of live fire during factory validation. Built on a polymer frame paired with a forged-steel slide and barrel, the striker-fired platform balances durability with a friendly shooting experience: a 20-degree grip angle and three interchangeable backstraps tailor ergonomics to individual hands for natural pointability and confident control.
Several configurations offer pre-drilled mounting provisions for micro reflex sights, and the slide geometry includes user-friendly serrations for secure manipulation under stress. Passive and mechanical safeties include an integrated trigger safety, a manual thumb safety for preference-driven carry, and a striker status indicator for visual and tactile confirmation of striker condition. An accessory Picatinny rail adds mission flexibility for lights and lasers. The SAR9 blends rigorous reliability testing, adaptable ergonomics, and practical features into a compact platform suited for carry, duty, or defensive use.

This was what I ordered a few weeks ago when everyone jumped on the all black for $179. It was this price then and I've had it in hand a few weeks. Feels great ergo wise, decent trigger especially considering the price. It'll be a few weeks before I can get out to shoot, but I don't think you can go wrong with this pistol at this price. I have an older B6C that's been my wife's gun for about 8 years and it's been fantastic.
I absolutely agree with you. The SAR lineup are some of the best pistols one can buy under $300, Heck I'd say even up to $400. As you said they have excellent ergos and are extremely reliable. The only complaint I have is the last generation of "optics ready" slides are not milled out and mount directly on top of the slide vai a couple screws. In order to get a co-witness sight picture, you must buy extra tall sights. However beyond that gripe, you can't go wrong with these. I've spent a 1000's if rounds testing these and they are truly rock solid. I issue the SAR9X to all of my armed officers and a lot of them went and bought their own. We were buying LE trade in Glocks but even used they weren't cheap and the range of use and condition sucked. Alot of my officers didn't like the Glock. So after doing a lot of testing these took the gold and now are our brand used in our armed security services. If you are on the fence, go for it! You won't regret it.
