If your looking at the SAR9 for a budget friendly self defense pistol, this is the one to buy over the older regular SAR9 pistol. This one is 40g lighter due to it having lightning cuts, a more shaved down slide. I'm surprised it is the same price ($199) as the other PSA offering. This one also comes with adjustable sights and the full selection of customizable grip panels. As pretty much everyone on here knows by now, this is the best pistol available on the market right now under $350-$400
I've extensively tested and tortured these pistols and stand behind my experience and professional opinion. If anyone has questions about these, give me a message and I'll share more thoughts and experiences with you. I think PSA and or SAR9 should give me a cut of the sales made off this site. Hahaha. I'm just joking (Sort of). Lol
Edit: After double checking on this particular model it seems to me the picture is not correct. Most of the METE models are optics ready. For your own piece of mind, id contact PSA before to check with them.
Best deal on a basic but super reliable, well built, striker fired handgun. If you're in need of a good self defense pistol then this is the best available pistol for under $200, heck even $300-$350 range as well! At $179, I'd buy 2! Worst case is you have some trade fodder if and when our country goes to hell....but there is nothing bad I have to say about the SAR lineup. They are very well made in advanced facilities. The Turkish manufacturers take some of the most pride in their products than any other country making guns for the American market. I have EXTENSIVE experience with these guns.
