The pistol also maintains the cylindrical receiver and bolt design characteristic of the original Ruger Mark I pistol.

The cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity, while the Internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent sight-to-barrel alignment and higher accuracy potential. The Ruger Mk 4 also features a contoured ejection port, a push-button magazine release, a drop-free mag system, easy-to-grasp bolt ears, and an ambidextrous safety.
