The original LCP needs to be discontinued. The trigger is horrible. With the improved trigger of the LCP II, there's no reason to continue the first iteration. The Max will be a little bigger in the pocket because of width but the additional rounds aren't weight-free. In looking at vast majority of self defense situations, they are about 3ish rounds. I figure if I need more than my 6+1 in the LCPII then my wife will enjoy the insurance money. That keeps the weapon as light as can be in my front pocket.
Now that the LCP MAX has been released, the LCP & LCP II will probably start to see some discounts. The MAX is a hair wider, but allows for a double stack mag holding 11rds 380 ACP. Honestly... I've wanted an LCP for awhile, but now I'm thinking spend the little bit extra and go for the MAX.
