10 minutes with some sandpaper, or a dremel tool and it can be fixed. (Shouldn't have to modify a new gun to match its specifications imho). If all else fails, Boyd's stocks has some much better laminated stocks that are "supposed" to be "drop in fit" for these rifles for ~$150 or so. If mine shows the slightest bit of being a accurate weapon when I get to the range I will invest in one.

Just picked mine up today from my ffl. Nice rifle, worst stock I've ever seen put on a gun in my life. Exactly what is the point of a free floated barrel if the manufacture sends them out with junk stocks that are touching the barrel at the forend? Took it apart, and did some dremel surgery. Now it's a "free floated barrel". Haven't checked the trigger pull weight yet, or adjusted it any. Directly out of the box it's not bad, but not great. I'll see if adjusting it down helps before I head to test fire. For $339 plus transfer fee it was a good buy.

Mine touches the barrel too, but if you hold it under tension with a sling it can pull the stock away from the barrel
