Description

The RT-15 features an advanced metal-reinforced polymer upper receiver, paired with RTAC's poly lower for a reliable and extremely lightweight rifle. The polymer lower on this RT-15 is rugged and light, making it the perfect rifle foundation. A lighter rifle makes handling and aiming easier for any and all shooters regardless of experience level. With a full magazine loaded, optics, lights, and muzzle device, custom AR-15s can become excessively front-heavy. Get ahead of that problem with the lightweight receiver set in this RT-15!

Although I wouldn’t purchase this, it’s good to see an AR15 (and many others) at lower prices since Covid, elections, etc…

They like to say "lightweight" They like to say it often.

reliable and extremely lightweigh
rugged and light
A lighter rifle
lightweight receiver set
lightweight and tough
Lightweight 10” M-LOK handguard
due to the weight savings.
The lightweight RT15

OK. How light is it? They never say. They never say how much the rifle weighs, or even the barrel profile. BUT, they do say it is lightweight.
So there's that.

Spend another $50-$100 and buy something like an Anderson or PSA budget rifle. Don't buy this all plastic piece of crap that'll warp from heat after the first range day... Save the plastic for toys....

Is heat warping a known issue with this design? The only specific problem I’ve read about with polymer uppers concerned an owner who cracked theirs when trying to change the barrel.

When plastic is heated over and over and under extreme pressure it will warp and or crack at some point. My personal opinion is to spend a few dollars more and buy an aluminum rifle The plastic may be fine if you don't shoot often or treat it as a safe queen however I actually like to shoot my guns so I prefer to keep the plastics for toys and other stuff.
