Damn. Have a $250 gift card waiting for a deal. This would've been it.

Yeah I may have to take a 40 mile drive and go check these out. Curious about the optic also. I wonder if it's a Shield Sights, or made by Shield Sights or a knock off of some kind. https://www.opticsplanet.com/shield-sights-reflex-mini-red-dot-sight-2-0.html...

I wanted to check this out, but it's OOS at the only sportsmans warehouse within 100 miles of me, and it's apparently unavailable to ship to a local FFL :(

Edit - check occasionally to see if your local store restocked! My "local" place about 25 minutes away didn't have this in stock originally, but seems to hav2 restocked today!

I purchased this also a week ago and was able to get it for 455 and some change with military discount. For the money nothing else even feels close to this. Its heavy, also almost lost the red dot first day out with it. Make sure to loctite the sight. Sight is fine, its a shake awake and adjust automatically to day and night. Its fine is all. Mine wouldn't lock back once emptied but figured it out to be magazine problem.

Got this $480. $513 OTD from SportsmanW. Reddot is ok, replaced with a holosun. Shes a big heavy girl but a sweet shooter. so far got 200rnds and no jam of any kind. Only con is the mags are hard to find but not impossible. I dont mind paying the extra money on mags considering this is texchnically a poor mans 2011 and my cheapest polymer was more than this. If you are thinking about it just get it. For $480 theres is nothing, i repeat nothing better. This can easily be $800 and still be a deal.

People really missing out on these. I have a few different 2011 type guns and I always come back to these RIA 1911/2011 for teaching beginners. This is heavy as he'll but shoot really flat. Great to introduce new shooters to 9mm. I have never had a hiccup with mine. I through a tisas threaded barrel on one of mine. It's one of my favorite suppressor hosts. The red dot this come with is okay for range use. If you want to use this for HD definitely upgrade the red dot. If you run out of rounds in a HD situation you can throw this gun and it will some damage. I did an hour of polishing and I have my trigger with a amazing reset and feeling like it's breaking glass clips break. All around 2.5-3lbs. Stock form its just an okay trigger but if you put effort in it it can match my bul armory.

I'd like to know about threaded barrel swaps I have a ria .45 compact version. It shoots really nice love to throw my can on it

These RIA double stack pistols are very underrated in my opinion. I have the 10mm version and it has been flawless. Compared to the Staccato, 2K11, Prodigy, etc they may be a bit less flashy. One thing is for sure….when you pull the trigger, it shoots. At this price I would definitely recommend getting one.
