RMA’s 10×12 body armor trauma pad utilizes lightweight closed-cell foam that decreases back face deformation and dissipates impact energy, thereby reducing transmitted force. This insert is NON-BALLISTIC.
Not only does this insert reduce energy transfer; they also greatly increase comfort for the wearer. This insert reduces perceived blunt force impact by absorbing energy over the surface area.
Back face deformation may occur when a round impacts any type of body armor. This energy transfer will likely be felt no matter which body armor ballistic panel you choose. While most body armor has inherently good energy redistribution properties throughout the strike face, our trauma pads will further mitigate energy transfer and back face deformation hazards which your body may absorb.
