Prices are moving in the right direction. Things are picking up speed as competition heats up to move product, but I see this thing bottoming out around $0.20/$0.21 a rd with the occasional $0.18/$0.19 "deal" before February.
Sit tight folks. It's still dropping!
Sitting here reminiscing about 9mm deals. Found this order form Palmetto State back on November 19th 2012. 0.20 cents per pop, shipped.
ATK Independence 9mm 115gr FMJ 50rds 5250 27374 23 boxes $206.77
Subtotal $206.77
Shipping & Handling $19.00
Grand Total $225.77
Got in on this, tired of trying to dink my way to a decent supply of 9mm after picking up my pistol last week.
Free ship to store and no limits. One trip at $0.28 a round is going to save me enough in gas to Wally World to make this a good deal for me.
This item # is for 100 UMC 9mm JHPs for $39.99.
Seems like Cabelas doesnt want to drop below .28 rd or so for brass and wants to make this price range the new normal.
Let's hope competition forces their hand at some point.
When i see prices like this being considered a good deal i get warm and fuzzy all over again knowing i have thousands of rounds i got at 6-$8 box the trick is to make it a habit to buy low even if you dont need it. over the last 10 years im buy a few boxes here a few there and i have a huge stockpile and dont feel like i even spent any money
Wow... really? The trick is to buy ammo when it is cheap and then hold onto it so you don't have to buy ammo when it is expensive? Sonofabitch... wish I had thought of that.
No matter what the deal on here... Someone has to come along with a story about how 'dem bullits was cheaper back in the day and delivery was free and they came with a free case of beer and a blowjob by a pretty lady.
This is a good deal TODAY. If you have a better deal, post it. If not, then go inventory your arsenal of 10 cent ammo and quit rubbing it in my face that I wasn't able to stock up on ammo when I was 12 years old back in the 1980's. Please.
"No matter what the deal on here... Someone has to come along with a story about how 'dem bullits was cheaper back in the day and delivery was free and they came with a free case of beer and a blowjob by a pretty lady."
Ah yes, I remember those days. I've still got a few of those deals tied up in the back of the closet. The beer is long gone though.
Think about it. Who buys ammo 10 years earlier and doesn't bother to practice with it? Fudds.
Well, at least he's not paying current market prices for ammo. I mean, he evidently hasn't bothered to seriously practice within 10 years. But damn, he sure does have a lot of old ammo to think about shooting someday. Maybe he should find it and count it while he rubs one off?
Sure, I've overpaid for ammo for the last 8 months. But my ammo locker stays replenished and I stay proficient.
BLOWJOB!!! WHOAAAA
I will take 7 boxes. One for each day of the week
There does NOT appear to be any 5 box limit at Cabela's anymore.
Not a deal! When I can purchase this or Winchester at the exact same price at my LGS, and not pay shipping or wait, this is hardly a deal to post on gun.deals. Please post "good" deals.
How is this NOT a deal?
It is 30 cents per round and less expensive than almost everything else that is available online right now!
Winchester white box is 40 cents per round at my local LGS and there is a limit of 2 boxes. Sure... it's a few bucks cheaper at Walmart, if I want to spend the gas and two hours of my time to get up at 5am to wait in line for the sporting goods department to cart over the ammo shipment for the day... if they even got any in their shipping the night before.
I'll take this all day and have a choice to get it shipped to my local Cabela's for free or ship it to my house for 5 bucks with the Cabela's card promo.
Not everyone lives in the mystical ammo wonderland that some of you all on here seem to enjoy. If you got a better deal, then post it.
I try not to stomp around and wave my fists at people on here. Live and let live... but I'd bet real coin that if someone posted 9mm at a dime a round with free shipping and no limit, someone would bitch about how "back in 1935 dem bullits was only a nickel a round and naked chicks delivered them for free with a complimentary blowjob"
Check your LGS. Apparently Remington and Winchester both shipped out a good order of these 100 round boxes. My favorite LGS has one waiting for me when I leave the office. Same price as Cabelas but I don't have to pay shipping!
Yup - yesterday my local Walmart got 100 boxes of this same ammo at $24. I thought it was going to be sold out by the time i got off work. Nope, they still have about 70+ boxes.
AMMO SHORTAGE IS OVER BOYS! See you at the range.
I find that really hard to believe as i follow wal-mart stores on-line in Ia.,Va. and Ga. and the 20 closest stores. Aalso my son just found some in Va. @ $25 a box--- but don't forget the tax. Plus it comes to your home when you have it shipped for $5 with Cabela's visa
OOS five seconds after it was posted. Only .45acp remaining.
Nope, they still got ammo. they just lowered the price from $29 to $27. lol
$29 for $20 worth of ammo....great deal !
I have not been able to find that price since before the election.
Its not that bad. Freedom munitions just added 2000 boxes of 500 rounds for 172.00 without shipping which is probably like 20.00 more or so. This deal beats it hands down so I would be okay with this deal all day -- also I agree F natchez!!
Yeah.... I could only hope we yet again see $10 box of rounds... my local range selling 50 rounds for $20 now... plus tax that's member rate.
All Sporting Goods stores for miles get them in rarely, and when they do, there's people waiting for it and sold out real quick.
Dicks Sporting Goods gets shipments in on Thurs AM. Selling 9mm boxes for $24.99 each. Limits 3 per person. Gone w/in the hour they arrive. I'm not doing that... :o)
Nice. Did not know of this site yet. Will keep it the bookmarks.
I used to buy from Natchez all the time pre December 2012. Now they offer a free tub of vasaline when they have ammo in stock at the rape rate.
The new Cabela card is cool. Not only is it flat $5 shipping but they give you points that add up to credit at their store. Not bad...
Thanks!
Rov
Yeahhhh boy!! Finally got one. And even used my new Cabela card for first time. Gottal love $5 shipping. I then called back and added to my order to take advantage of shipping, 5 boxes of Herter's .40 rounds they had in stock for $17.99. Not too shabby!! (I don't even a .40. LOL!! Will enjoy sometime w/ my buddy).
Thanks for the post!!
Rov
Thanks two of my friends got in on this deal. Appreciate the post!
i bought many of these boxes from june to december 2013 for $27.99 some were free shipping .mega packs to they all come out to $13.99 box .even though they raised the price to $29.99 .$14.99 per box of 50 .thats $1.00 more per box .not that bad.i found a empty old remington umc box 124 grain .the sticker said $9.99 box of 50 .that was back in 1987 i bought that was 27 years ago .so a increase of $4.00 to $5.00 box is not that bad .27 years later at lease they are still lead ,not plastic like some gun frames are.are you getting ready for plastic bullets?
