Palmetto State Armory is proud to announce the long-awaited release of the Olcan, the bullpup JAKL Rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO! This platform is built around a 6105 monolithic rifle-length upper receiver with a buffer system that is fully captured into the upper receiver. The bullpup lower receiver offers an ambidextrous magazine release and a shorter overall length. Completed with a Pin & Weld SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider and Die Free Co Kung Fu grip. Black Hardcoat Anodized finish.
The PSA Olcan features a long-stroke piston design with a Carpenter 158 bolt and 4340 carrier that are an AK/AR hybrid. Our Knurled JAKL side charging handle is ambidextrous, allowing the user to change positions to the left or right side of the receiver without the use of tools. Equipped with a toolless 8-position gas block, this feature offers the ability to quickly adjust your gas block by hand when needed. Field stripping and removal of the JAKL carrier, recoil assembly, and sled assembly can all be done without tools for effortless cleaning.
SilencerCo ASR Flash Hider, Pin & Welded on 14.5" 5.56 NATO Barrel - The ASR Flash Hider is compatible with ASR (Active Spring Retention) Mounts. The ASR (Active Spring Retention) Mount is a quick attach/detach system for almost all SilencerCo suppressors. The simple one-hand-on, one-hand-off mounting system is compatible with all ASR Muzzle Devices to promote ease of transfer from one silencer to another. Once shouldered, the locking ring ensures the silencer won’t rotate or work itself loose under a heavy firing schedule. The patent-pending resonance suppression effectively eliminates the tuning-fork effect common with competing 3-prong Flash Hiders.

How exactly is this deal when the gun just came out and this is their normal asking price? Where’s the sale?
Tavors were $1250 in Black Friday deals... there's no way this is better.
PSA seems to be extremely proud of their cheaply built items. Their quality is lacking bad the past two years. I've personally had handguards that are the wrong height, barrels with bores that have horrible rifling, accuracy in a Sabre ar10 was best 3in with match ammo...and no it's not the shooter, my other AR10s all shoot sub MOA.
I think they need to focus on what they're making currently for at least 6 months, and stop just throwing out new platforms 2-3 times a month. This is what happened to several other companies who finally went tits up, cough Remington cough...kept making new models, and let quality slip on staples; Rem 700, 870 etc...after 2008 they went to crap.
Why do people insist on commenting on guns and platforms they have zero experience with? No way this is better? Based on what, the degree of hurt in your anus?
Nobody asked for (or frankly, cares about) your commentary on the company itself.
The complaints are relevant, substantial, and well-known in terms of PSA QC. This rifle only really made sense as a budget (<$1000) alternative to bullpups already on the market, and they missed that with this price.
Reputation matters and *is* relevant on new product releases. You don't have to like that, but grow up with the "nobody asked you, shut up" type of behavior.
There is nothing relevant about someone whining when they have zero experience with a particular firearm.
You also have zero idea what production and development costs are, so stop acting like you do.

Haters abound while not haven handled or seen of a gun before... Honestly I hadn't heard of this before now. I'll give PSA cred trying new ideas to suit current market desires. A 14.5bbl, Jackl gas system, and Silencerco device pinned seems targeted accurately at the suppressed bullpup niche. And if it has much less gassing suppressed than an AUG or Tavor do thats something Eh, we'll see how it does...
But the pistolgrip, forend and stock do look kinda uncomfortable. Maybe in the hand it just feels like butter, but it's fugly. Reminds me of a Norinco. Also hope the trigger is decent.

Unless the posting specifically says "Dealer posting" that either other members and or gundeals staff are the ones posting these deals.

Included in these screenshots, this is number one and number 3-5 slots, neither of which are PSA. Now I'm not arguing the fact that PSA is all over this site but 2 things to look at... first, does it say "dealer listing"? And then a simple check of the original poster of the ads as well as the "updated by . ...", Tells you who posted it. Then simply click on that person's account and see how many deals they posted as well as who they are posting for and any comments they made. Example this was posted by "Dragonslayer" and he has posted like over 100 deals and none of his postings favor anyone including PSA. So we all know your hate for PSA, we've talked about it privately and it's all over this site but that's your opinion and experience, all of which you are absolutely entitled to. But let's be at least factual so other members can make an informed decision. Have a Merry Christmas!

You’re aware you can buy a Tavor or AUG for less than $1500 right? Why would you jump straight for a Hellion?
Oh wow I didn't even know PSA was gonna drop a bullpup Jakl or as it is listed "Olcan"..Very promising firearm although I will wait til mid 2026 to buy one once the prices come down a bit and maybe even catch them on a "blem" sale like they always do.
PSA is smoking actual meth here. This thing should be $799. Or go buy something actually good for this price.
