I keep staring at this part kit and can't figure out what makes it "premium". I've bought this same PSA "classic" build kit before but it was only $79.
The buffer tube is made out of T7075 aluminum that is stronger than the T6061 aluminum used it the non premium kits, I have seen buffer tubes bend at the point that it keeps the buffer retainer pin in place, the pin and spring then jam into the bolt and the gun is paper weight until you fix the tube and spring, not a quick fix if you are using the gun for serious purposes.
Thanks for the info on the aluminum, but if you are bending a receiver extension, maybe you should stop mortaring your buttstock.

Not only that, if you are just building a basic AR, you should just buy an Anderson from Wise Arms or M&P Sport 11 from Whittaker Guns. Both are 499, I don't think you could build a comparable rifle to them for the money, each to his own though.
Any chance this will have free shipping or something similar on Christmas?

What I did last time was get this and see that the shipping (to NM, YMMV) was $8. Look for some ammo that normally shipping would screw you but is a good price per round. When I added the ammo to the lower build kit the new shipping was $12. Spread out it wasn't too bad on each item and made the ammo total price competitive.

snagged two of these last night. PSA has had some of the best deals this christmas ;) I have 3 orders for different things in with them currently. Just beware, they are very slow to process and ship, so don't be in a hurry and you will be fine ;)

I agree they are VERY slow. ridiculously slow as a matter of fact.. 9 days to ship ammo. Another order from 11/29 is still processing.
I have placed 2 previous orders with them knowing they are slow to ship. One took two weeks and the other three weeks. They have excellent deals so I don't have a problem with it. If I wanted it faster I could but would pay more. It is just a trade-off I make.
The case of 9mm Independence ammo I bought was shipped right out...going to finally try it out tonight. Stamped Blazer Brass, $8 or so a box. Not half bad.
