Actually Osight is a sister company of Olight. At one time they were the same and that now Osight handles mostly optics like these red dots and other of the smaller type optics. Olight handles mostly lighting systems like flashlights, weapons lights and so on. So there's no real "knock off" per say. They are mostly one in the same however I certainly could see the speculation and confusion.
Thank you and I wasn't aware of that at the time of posting, I thought it was a janky attempt to piggyback of the name of a real brand (we see a lot of that here with many Amazon postings here).
Since then I have actually purchased an Osight SE and so far it has been a great addition to my Canik MC9. I also appreciate it actually is a RMS(c) size, not just footprint. I have tried several "RMSc" red dots which claim to be RMSc however are still wider than a compact slide even if they fit on a RMSc cut. I personally think is a bad idea as the red dot catches on everything in a CCW setting.
