Shows .40 and .45 but no 9mm for me.

Online Sales Tax Really grinds my gears. Haha

You should only have to pay taxes if you have a Brick and Mortar store in your state

Shipping costs??? TAX??? WTF....

targetsportsusa.com for free shipping

Well, free shipping at TargetSports if you buy 20 boxes. As an example, shipping for 5 boxes to me is $21. I wouldn't pay tax, but the shipping offset still adds a $3 per box cost (after you subtract the tax savings).

Since I have a store to pick up from, its still cheaper for me at Cabelas. But thanks for providing another option.

The $10.99 price beats the heck out of the $13.77 per box that Walmart charges. I order and pick my stuff up every month or month and half when I'm at Cabelas.

Don't know why so many people voted UP. The price is basically $0.25 per round if shipping is considered, which is not a good deal.

Not bad if you have a local Cabelas though

Hello- I have a question for a newbie. How does a person set up an alert for ammo? When I try to get into it and make an alert, the drop down menu has 22, but no 22LR. it has 22 short, 22 CB, 22 Long, but no 22LR. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

It's in the drop down menu, just not in the alphabetical order. It's below Black Powder and Ruger 204 caliber. Let me know what is your desired price point and I can set up an alert for you.

can someone please tell me how this is not a good deal...especially with store pickup to avoid shipping charges? who sells 9mm FMJ (new) for cheaper shipped or store pick-up for cheaper? thanks in advance.

i have a cabalas fairly close to me. so i don't have to pay shipping. i'd have to pay tax if i ordered from freedom munitions. so this is definitely a good deal for me personally.

It's a "good deal" for Cabelas. Most of their ammo is overpriced. .50 a round for 5.56 for example is not a good deal.

If you have to have it shipped its back to a .25 cents a round. Freedommunitions has it NEW BRASS 9mm always under .25 cents a round. check it out.

Their reloads are as good as the new ammos, at only 18 cents shipped for new customer, just can't beat it.

+1 on the Freedom reloads. Seems run a bit dirtier, but I have never had a FTF.

Their brass looks dirtier or old, but who cares I have shot over total of 1000 rounds in 9mm and 40sw no problems yet.

Obviously the coupon code is NOT working, so ok price but definitely NOT a deal

I think this is a better deal: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/remington-golden-saber-9mm-147-grain-bjhp-25-rounds?a=1590578... Free S&H with coupon code: SH1097

I got me some .45ACP and some 9mm

You linked to 147gr hollow points that are 64 cents per round.

Yes, I did. Like I said on the initial post. IMO, I think this a far superior round for your designated carry weapon. Now, are the other cheaper? Absolutely, but they wouldn't be my choice for a duty or CCW.

I've been looking for Golden Saber in .45 and 9mm. Every time the S&H charges killed any sort of deal offered. Being that this thread was about 9mm, I figured it would be relevant.

But, like I said.....that is just my opinion.

Right, but not everyone is buying ammo for their "designated carry weapon" and this ammo is clearly not for duty or CCW.

Correct, and my short post in this thread was meant for those that are looking for such.

Have a good one

golden saber should be under 50cents as a deal. it's the last one on my list behind gold dot and hst.

I agree that if I could find it under .50 x rd., then that would be a deal. However, in the last 3 months, I haven't been able to find it for that price. Most deals, once S&H are factored in, they are terrible deals. If you know (not being sarcastic) of a better deal, please post a link to it, so I can take advantage of such.

IMHO, Golden Saber outperforms Fed HST any day of the week. I can't speak for the GD.

I just got five boxes for $44. Awesome :)

18 cents per round for new, brass-cased ammo. Can't complain.

Good deal for new brassed ammo from a leading ammo manufacturer...

The aluminum cased Federal 9mm are made exclusively for Wall Mart and Wall Mart only ! This should tell you something in it's self ! These BRASS 9mm are a GOOD DEAL !

1 vote

Walmart's $9.97 ammo is aluminum cased. The aluminum has worked fine for me, but only one of three ranges I shoot at will allow it. Walmart wants $14.67 for brass Fed Champion and $25.97 for the 100 pk. This is a good deal for new brass ammo.

Oh hell no !!! I purchase these for $9.97 a box regularly at Walmart !!! Acting like this is a deal SMH

I've seen aluminum Federal Champion
for $9.99 , but not brass Federal Champion!

But when you spend money at Wal-Mart, you're contributing to the destruction of the middle class, the destruction of the future economy for your offspring, and you're telling them "I have no moral objection to Wal-Mart taking advantage of those whom are easily exploited."

If they were selling 50 BMG for a penny a pop I still wouldn't patronize them...but hey...I'm principled (read: stubborn).

I think Walmart is a great company. Where else can you buy milk, bread, etc...and pick up a gun and ammunition? Sounds pretty American to me. Try that at Target!

7 votes

So it is safe to say your principles do not allow you to purchase from Cabelas as well. They are not as large as Walmart but 17,000 employees 60+ stores and Billions in revenue ... not sure how these guys differ from Walmart when referencing helping middle class economy etc.....

not all people have Walmart's in their state that sells ammo .so online is the only way to get a deal. local store is more money here.

Those are aluminum cased. These are brass.

1 vote

yes you are correct .......the ammo I was referencing was aluminum for $9.97... I guess ive seen quite a bit of ammo price gouging on the internet lately as demand increases ... it is just bad business....

findmeammo.com has a walmart inventory tracker. Of the 15 walmarts in driving distance of my house 10 of them are out of stock on 9mm federal champion. The five stores that have federal champion are over 30 minutes away.

I wished i lived near a walmart that could consistently keep ammo stocked.
