This mini dehumidifier has been design to adsorb moisture from small enclosed areas (maximum area: 10'x 10'). It will help protect clothes and valuables from the damaging effects of mold/mildew and moisture rot. It is 100% renewable and needs no power to operate. Just hang the eva-dry unit in a closet, or you can place it in other small enclosed spaces, and it will start to adsorb moisture. There are no batteries required or cords to plug in, the unit works without power. There is an indicator window with special "moisture meter crystals" that change from blue (when dry) to pink (when wet) to indicate when the unit needs to be "renewed". The unit will adsorb approximately 8 to 10 ounces of moisture (depending on humidity levels this should take between 3 - 8 weeks). Once the moisture has been adsorbed it cannot leak or spill. This unit uses a specialized engineered crystallized silica gel that is odorless, non-toxic and completely safe. When the indicator crystals turn Pink it is time to "re-new" the unit. Simply remove the unit from where it is adsorbing moisture and plug it into a power outlet.
Spill and mess free and is non-toxic, child and pet safe
The unit lasts 20-30 days before renewing
Works in areas up to 333 cubic feet, requires no batteries or cords for use
Works up to ten years
100% renewable
ASIN#: B000H0XFCS
Model number#: E-333

Bought these for my house. My office is around 80 humidity. Our house is on a post and beam foundation and a lot of moisture builds up underneath. So much so that we get small amounts of mold, warped wood doors, and rust on firearms. These work like a charm for driving out the moisture in cabinets and closets, but aren't big enough for a room. Our house is so damp that they filled up after a week. Drying them out only took a day.

I found a twin pack at Costco a few weeks back for $11. Wish I would have bought a couple more packs now.

Works like a charm! Got mine a month or so back from Amazon. A few pointers:

I live in South Florida = epic humidity virtually 24/7/365.

To test it out, I hung one in my gun safe and left the door open. It had changed colors to notify me the beads were completely "wet" after a little over 1 week (makes sense since I keep my house at a constant 70 degrees, had I left outside, it probably would have changed colors overnight).

I plugged it in my wall outlet and voila! It restored the beads back to the "dry" color overnight.

Since then, I've left it hanging in my gun safe (with door sealed shut) for approximately 2-3 weeks and the beads are barely starting to change colors back to the "wet" depiction.

All-in-all: a solid investment to protect your rustable items in a sealed container. Especially since you don't have to replace it! Would definitely suggest to anyone looking to accomplish what I've previously mentioned!

These really work well.
I use 2 in a large safe and I have never had an issue in 10 years. Probably longer.
About one time a month I take them out and plug them in over night. They use a heat element to dry the beads, the next morning put them back in. one up top one at the bottom.
I was about to get excited and order, but you can get it at Home Depot online and pick it up at your store if you don't want to play the Amazon minimum purchase shipping crap. If you have prime, go for it.
I want to get 2 of them to replace mine, but I'm getting one and then one in a few years. I'll mark them and I'll use all 3 for a while. Both of mine are still working.
If you have a plug in your safe, don't be temped to plug them in and leave them plugged in, they get pretty hot, I'd don't think it woudl be a good thing.
Just wanted to share my love for them> Mine are marked differently. 1 Remington and 1 STACK ON. So it can be found other ways. This is an improved model? I don't know why.
Ya'll be safe

Thanks for the heads up on Home Depot. Amazon has lost a lot of business since they raised the minimum amount for shipping.

You know, I was a prime member. I loved it, but I paid $79 for it, and it's gone up 2 times since. During Christmas they offered Prime to new or renewals for $29. Mine didn't renew until Janurary and it would not let me, when Janurary came, it was $99. I called them and explained why I thought that was a harsh way to treat someone who had been using Amazon for a decade and a Prime member for 2 years, they said "sorry"
So, the next thing I knew you needed $49 instead of $30 for free shipping.......
I will not pay $99 for it. I may even come out to the good, and I LOVE Streaming free music. I listen to contemporary Christian and I find more albums that I only like 2 or 3 songs on. So I could just stream them and bluetooth to m
truck radio, same at home. So it was very worth it.
They really seem to be trying to run people off......

You are welcome brother, we must look out for one another when we can in an economy like this. I hope you enjoy the units as much as I do
Be well,
Ernie
