As a firearms instructor I would never recommend these to anyone looking for a self defense pistol. These are bad in multiple ways. First being the size...there's no way in hell if someone was being physically assaulted that you could draw the weapon, unfold it, get a proper purchase then find the tiny trigger to send measly 22 WMR rounds down range. In theory I see the point but not in reality. The next issue is being the tiny 1" barrel....there's almost no way this length of barrel could spin up the .22wmr rounds fast enough to stabilize them and for them to hit the target consistently with any sort of power. I am almost certain that rounds would have a serious issue with "keyholing" targets, especially beyond a 6-8 ft range.
To me, this gun is more of a novelty vs real world fighting gun if and when the SHTF and your being attacked.
Is this better than nothing? Sure, it may scare of an attacker if you managed to pull it up and point it at them and/or if you actually did managed to fire and hit the target...rare but not impossible.
For the money one could do much better. Plenty of very small, micro compact pistols available on the market that would suit someone much better for conceal carry and self defense. Long story short, I personally would not use this as your primary, self defense pistol. This is all just my opinion and experience and you certainly entitled to your own opinion and experience. I won't judge you for that.
