Nothing claims to be special about it. At $375 its not silly overpriced if you were to piece something similar together. $50 receiver $50 bcg $75 handguard $75 barrel $20 gas block + tube $30 dust cover + forward assist + charging handle + flash hider.
Yeah. KAKs owner is a little shady too. If you leave a negative review for anything on their site, even if it’s kindly worded and honest, it will never be posted on the site.
If you complain about that on Reddit, he will argue back-and-forth with you like a teenager. Super embarrassing behavior. I wouldn’t buy anything from them again.
I bought a 9mm tungsten bolt carrier weight, it was low quality, and it broke after 30 rounds. I left an honest review, I even said it might just be a fluke. My review was never posted on their site.
While I do like Brownells as a business, this upper of NOTHING special at all
. One can buy a complete rifle/pistol with an equivalent upper for around the same price. For $400 you can get several budget AR's. Radical, PSA, Anderson, Karri's guns, BCA, and so on all pretty much have equal parts as this upper has. This upper is pretty much just all the same old "milspec" stuff. No chrome lined barrel, BCG, etc. no special muzzle device, sights, or charging handle. There might be something I missed, but I don't believe this is worth the money.
