If your on the fence about getting one of these, just do it.
American made, reliable and has a lifetime warranty. Here's a link to their site where it talks about it.

I'd pick up another at this price if it was the 45. The 9mm is definitely worth the 300$ that places are asking so this is a steal, and that 300 was on sale pre-newtown from the local Cabelas.
Depending on the ammo, pretty effective up to 75-100yds, and will reach 100+ yds if its +P or otherwise. Mine handles FMJ without issues, but is picky with HP. I only wish HiPoint would make a higher cap mag for these. Just when you start plinking away, your empty. The promag 15 round ones don't work as well as the factory 10 rounders do, but every gun is different.

I have shot these and the 380 pistol. Short story, i may purchase a carbine in the near future, but i will never touch another one of their handguns...

I own 2 of these and my dad owns 1 of the older model and 1 of the 45acp high point carbine. We love them and they are VERY accurate at 100 yards. Haven't shot them any further than a 100 yard range, but until you shoot one you really can't appreciate how nice they are, especially for the price.

I have $2000 guns and i have one of these. People who say there junk should get one. I thought so intill i got one. I can hit a target with 4" groups at a 100 yards. Everytime i go to the range people are laughing then there amazed. I get alot of heat because it is a hipoint. Then people shoot it, the heat is gone.

I've never met anyone who owns one of these that doesn't love it. You can always tell a Hipoint by the way its gets passed around the range like the campus whore in a frat house.

I'm know to generally buy higher end stuff and caught major heat when I bought a Keltec Sub 2K a few years back. I call it my "retard rifle" cause its so retardedly simple to use and operate. It's the type of gun you give Corky Thatcher in a SHTF scenario. Like the Hipoint carbine, it's a great little rifle and anyone that tries one, usually wants one. However, there are those that just wont own a Hipoint or KelTec... and to them I say... "Life goes on"
