“Basic polymer changes,” are the most expensive parts to change because injection molds are tremendously expensive. And low magazine capacity is their market niche, as they can be sold almost everywhere in the US.
Man Ive wanted one of these in 10mm but I feel the price is inflated here due to panic buying. I could be wrong. I so wish that Hi point would give their carbines like these a new and updated chassis and styling. A better looking stock set up and fore grip? thoughts? Id be willing to pay this inflated price if it had better looks and also a nice metal adjustable trigger. also a "brace" mounting option.
I have had their 9 mm since it came out. I was going to pick up there 10 mm a few months ago but I have no 10 mm ammo. So add two to three hundred dollars for more ammo and also I would probably want to get a 10 mm pistol. So I was looking at around $1,200 investment at least. So I decided to pick up their 45 ACP since I have tons of ammo for it.
Really...no market for a decent hi cap mag ??
Come on already, make some "legit" hi-cap mags for this thing! Not just that rigged up monstrosity that looks like 2 mags glued together. Like my mopeds & beefy gf's, I appreciate function over form, but that Redball sports mag is *%!)! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/03/14/redball-sports-45-acp-20-round-magazine-for-hi-point-4595ts-carbines/amp/...
Nice looking mags on this are like marble stairs leading up to a singlewide; zero extra function and not worth the cost. You only have so much room to maneuver from an aesthetic standpoint.
I'm gonna break down and buy one of these. They are ugly as sin but a 10mm carbine for under 300 is hard to pass up on. One hell of a camp gun or truck gun.
You must have experience with fat girls & mopeds.Friend of mine bought one when it first came out.We shoot it all the time and it is a great rifle.Maybe you can give us a link to a quality 10mm rifle around the same price? Can't,huh?Glad you are not the only person on here reviewing products.
i think you misunderstood me. i actually have experience w/ all three. fat girls and mopeds are fun to ride, like hi-points. some folks may be a little chagrined to admit it. I bought my 10mm hi-point rifle when they first came out. from kygunco (2-18) and for a little less ($279). enjoying the ride. glad you are not the only person here judging my comments.
p.s. you might want to trim that fu manchu before getting near the sticky cheek weld on this rifle.
So you are embarrassed to be seen with one? Everytime others have shot mine at the range, they usually go out and buy one. Especially since you can PU a HP Carbine for about half the price of an AR-15. Awesome starter rifle. I have had mine for 20+ years and still shoots great. Don't get your reasoning either.
Duanedibbley/williambadass: Go away kid, no one likes you, nobody cares about your uninformative opinion. I'm tired of seeing your ignorant, irrelevant ramblings all over this site. People read comments for info or humor; you offer neither. Go argue with people somewhere else. Grow up dude.
Well put. I'd buy you a beer if I could. Dewwie Dribbley has so little to offer.
I think Duane got banned for the 3rd or 4th time (she would reappear with a new name) and Williamsadass has be AWOL about the exact amount of time as D's last sighting. Good riddance.
Because they work and it's a 10mm carbine that is priced very low ..... Wouldn't be surprised if could run 40 S&w also
I've watched several reviews on this and to make it worse kygunco is 25 minutes from my driveway. Why the hell am I seriously considering buying a hi point?
I have had my HP 9mm Carbine since the year it came out. Still shoots fine. If you can find a 10mm Carbine any cheaper with the same or better quality, buy it.

Im so glad they came out with this caliber. Now you would think Hipoint would upgrade and or redesign these carbines. They really have a good platform and are a great value and reliability. Just wish they would hear their customers, critics and make this look better than the same old ugly ass carbine. I understand it costs to redesign and produce but some basic polymer changes would raise their already good sales numbers. I just hate companies who are satisfied with the same stuff instead of looking to the future and demands. Same thing with the magazines and hi cap mag availability...
