Like the old saying goes, Sailor, ya get what you pay for, I guess. Thanks for explaining to potential buyers, so maybe it will help them decide, and I hope you get yours fixed in a timely manner.

Buyer Beware. If you buy one of these expect to need a new main spring. You might get lucky and get one that works out of the box, but the one I bought was failing to fire (light strikes) at least twice (usually three or four) times per 6 round cylinder.

After a little troubleshooting figured out the main spring was the culprit. Here's the interesting thing: you can't even order a direct replacement main spring that's identical to the one from the factory. If you order a replacement main spring from Heritage, it's thicker and heavier than the original. You also have to buy a replacement pin because the original spring's pin is too big to fit into the thicker replacement main spring.

In other words, they know that the main spring that comes in the revolver from the factory is too weak, and don't even stock them as replacement parts, but to save a few pennies, they continue to sell new guns with the inferior main spring.

The revolvers are cheap so I get why you might still be tempted to buy one, and the replacement main spring and pin are not expensive, but just be aware that you've got a very good chance you're going to have to replace them to get a functioning firearm.

And you have to ask yourself if you really want to trust a firearm from a company that does business this way? I don't. If I'd known better at the time, I'd have paid a little extra and bought a Ruger Wrangler and gotten a much better quality product.
