Why? Cause you can...lol. this thing screams for a removable stock. I wonder if they make such a thing? I know there are stocks for like 1911's and such but a revolver? Guess a search is in order. I will say that the 2 Heritage revolvers I own are so much fun to shoot. I love taking my grandkids to the range or up to the mountain and let shoot what they call "Grandpas cowboy guns". They are perfect for teaching young kids or even adults who have never shot a gun before. They are simple, easy shooting guns. Are they going to win a prize for being well refined? No. Will they go bang with any type of .22 ammo? Yes!.
They are heavy revolvers made of fairly cheap materials but they have almost zero recoil because of the weight. The only tiny issue I've found is that on one of my revolvers with the 22mag cylinder installed it tends to spit a little amount of Spalling onto the hand. It is not enough to hurt or anything like that but just something to be aware of. I'm sure it's a minute timing issue or forcing cone issue. I am not by any means a revolver guy so it's not something I have an exact answer for. Heck it could just be the ammo itself? Idk it's not enough to bother me so I don't worry about it.
For $95 after MIR, you can't expect perfection but what you can expect is a ton of fun with or without the family.
