If you are concerned about reliability and not willing to roll the dice, the newer curved magazines WITH the metal feed lips are the way to go. You will pay a premium price and I think the new mags are why these are so inexpensive. If your Strbog runs with the straight mags I would buy a ton of these and don’t store your mags loaded or in a super hot environment. Use these for fun and buy a few of the premium mags for when it matters.

Hi Mike,

Do you have a link or know where to purchase curved mags with metal feed lips?

I’ve only seen the straights with metal lips (gen2 mags) …

I bought twenty or so of these 30 round straight mags. They function fine in mine. Mine is not the newest version. I have heard about the issues with straight mags and believe it is an issue for some. Mine ran fine with cheap ball ammo and Hornady Duty

Really? Which model Stribog did you try them in?

I've seen several reviews saying these (straight) magazines were problematic and that GP/GO then developed the curved magazines, which didn't have the same issues. I'd speculate that the straight mags are discounted because of the performance/reliability issues.
