Description
The FG-9 is a 9mm version of the German FG42 rifle with modern features while retaining that feel of a firearm designed from a different era with just metal and wood. The carbine uses Ar15 9mm magazines and fire control group. The receiver has a large feed ramp to help feed all bullet types including wide hollowpoints a built in scope rail and modified m-lock on the lower rail for bipods or addition items. All component parts are held in place with HK style push pins for rapid field disassembly. The rifle is constructed from aluminum, steel and wood with no plastic, right here in the USA.

This is just an overpriced dressed up AR-9. If you squint it may resemble an FG-42. The weird blade thing on the front is not accurate.
The FG42 was a cool German heavy machine gun for the Airborne. This is a mess.
NOT an HMG, not even an LMG: an automatic rifle, so that when the need arose, every paratrooper could have full-auto capability when the occasion warranted. Nearest modern equivalent would be the M27 IAR. But they have the same doctrinal conceptualization.
The FG42 was chambered in a full-house battle cartridge, not an intermediate round (its greatest failing, and where the IAR surpasses it;) it bears contemplating what the Nazi war machine would have been able to do if they had started the war with the FG-42 in hand and had widespread intermediate cartridge arms like the StG44 in hand by '41.
The world may be a *very* different place. Thank God they never understood how to use their paratroops effectively nor reached the necessary logical conclusions about their total weapons mix until it was too late.
Like Rodney Dangerfield once said: “I bet you get a free bowl of soup when you buy this”.

This is one ugly sum bish
