Similar Beretta 92 can be had for 500. I don't see any reason for paying for this clone more than 300-350
In this instance, a case could be made that Beretta cloned the Girsan Gen 3 that's been available for the last 3 years, while XI models from Beretta were just introduced this year and still 100 cheaper.
I can see your point. How reliable is this Girsan is my main question
100%, they are made from the original design with a couple of enhancements, with the original Beretta Tooling that was sold to them when Beretta moved to TN, and have produced more "cloned" M1/92s for police forces around the world. The trigger is good, the optics mounting option superior to the Beretta that just kind of sits on top and hangs over the sides of the slide and the see thru grips and mags are a Girsan only feature.
Great gun, I have had one for almost 3 years now. If you don't like those grips, I will take them off your hands immediately. Best configuration of the 92 in my opinion, so good that Beretta followed suit in moving the safety to the frame on its latest comp models. Girsan didn't make many of the Gen3s so I doubt you can find one for much longer.
