I would research Gemtech suppressors a little before pulling the trigger, I have two, they are great BUT their 'hubs' are far from universal, Gemtech does not actually produce (and many SKU's they never have) a lot of the mounts on their website...they ones they do are rather costly for what they are, and 3rd party support in 2025 is pretty much non existent for aftermarket options / adapters / hubs / muzzle brakes.

Make sure the can will do everything out of the box, because adding functionality may not be an option.

I cannot fathom why anyone would buy a can now instead of waiting until Jan 1 of 2026, when the new $0 tax stamp goes into effect. Yes, there shouldn't be an NFA anyway, nor a Hughes Amendment banning new mgs for civilians, but arguing about what's right and what is real world is a waste of our time.

The sad reality is that Dr. Dater is gone, and Gemtech was sold to S&W years ago and has been just limping along in maintenance mode ever since.

Amen, I don't get all these people buying suppressor now, in 3 months it is going to be a field day, maybe free for all if certain parties manage to sue (and win) having the zero dollar "tax stamp" declared illegal. If so, 'cans' will be pouring in from Temu and Aliexpress ;)

A lot of people are putting silencers on layaway until the $0 stamp is effective.

Thus they aren't buying them now.

FWIW, layaway is a decent option though, lock in the price so you don't suffer the constant inflation until we actually see what happens Jan 1st. Can always back out if need be.

We don't need an entrance fee to use suppressors.
