Does this take an SS? I want a 9mm pcc strictly to run a SS on, what’s the cheapest way to go about that if anyone happens to know?

What do you mean by SS?

They probably mean "super safety." It is a forced reset-ish trigger system that is drop-in (ish). For the most part they are used in AR-15's however many people report getting them to work in (some) AR-9 type builds....however those tend to require a bit more of trial and error / tinkering to get running well vs a 5.56 AR....which can still be a pain at times (don't ask me how I know).

Got you, thank you for the detailed explanation!

I have the Blade 6, love it. I haven’t made any changes to it, five hundred rounds in and I’ve nothing negative to say about it.

I use a M&P15-22 for my 22 LR plinking/training. I have it set up with same optic and configuration as my duty rifle. I had issues with the drop in 22lr's in 5.56 guns.

They are very dirty, and after 10k rounds, the gas tube traps dust and when you switch back to 5.56, it locked my bolt back from all the carbon dust blew right into the BCG. Also, the 1/7 twist is not good with 22lr. Anything over 50 yards, it was very inaccurate and some rounds keyholed. And i need to have 5 or more mags, and they are not cheap. (least last time i used one) Maybe it or the barrel had problems, but enough for me to not use another.

Now, if I didn't have the MP15-22, I would make a dedicated 22LR and not even have a gas tube on it.

I also agree about the 22 ammo prices, 325 rounds for 21 bucks is not bad, I have a G44 for cheap 22 fun.

Has anyone tried one of these? I am looking for a beater 9mm like this.

I got one a couple of weeks back. Shot 100+ rounds at the range and loved how it shot. I dont like the 30 rd mag , it looks goofy in my opinion and it is not the best quality. I bought two other glock mags and those shot great too. The charging handle is super uncomfortable, if you dont wear gloves or if you are not careful you can cut yourself with the picatinny rail.
Thats the only real issue. If anybody has a solution im happy to listen. I also have videos of the gun shooting if anybody is interested.

I'm interested in knowing as well. For overall seeing decent reviews of the "G-Force" branded items and I like how this is a complete AR-9-ish firearm with a lot of standard components. Most of the others in this price range (for example Foxtrot Mike's) are mostly sold piecemeal and have a dozen different generations and models which may or may not play nicely together. The only other option I see at $400 is the Extar, those are supposed to be great but are fugly as sin and take a lot of proprietary parts / accessories.

Exactly what I am running into, I started building a 9mm ar15 pistol to go with my Colt 6951, but I am reading the the issues between all the makers, and the Foxtrot will not work with my lower.

I guess these are white labeled Foxtrots.

I am still doing researching before I buy one, It will be a high volume shooter, so longevity is a valid concern.

Ditto, been on the fence for a while for an AR-9 which takes glock mags. It would also be nice to pick one up because (from my understanding) is a 'standard' AR-9 makes a good super safety host and I have one collecting dust. The other good hosts are supposedly PSA's AR-V, those are more than double the money though. Take CZ mags but I have plenty of those as well. TBH the last thing I need is yet another 9MM braced PCC....

I heard the S&W response is very good, and has a few varieties of mag wells. If I did not have a 6951, that would be the one I chose. But they do not make a pistol and i would like to use Glock mags, i have a few dozen of them.

I do not own any braced ar15's. Only thing I have that is close is an old school AK47 pistol. But with 7.62x39 and 5.56 prices, I been training/shooting with only 9mm.

FWIW and slight change in subject, I personally love the CMMG drop in 22LR BCG. Allows you to train with your 5.56 guns, optics, accessories, etc but at 22LR prices (POI is still pretty darn close under 75 yards). All controls are the same (same 'pistol' / rifle), just the CH only pulls back about half as far. Only downside is zero recoil and muzzle rise with a 22LR on a full size AR, so you aren't reenforcing good muzzle and recoil management practices. Still a good way to get in high volume range sessions on your main battle / HD rifle without breaking the bank.

I messed up with my response and see my other comment.

But I came back here to say that I decided to pass on this. I do not think it will hold up. So I think I am going this route with that magwell from another deal we talked about

Still on the fence about the G-Force myself and admittedly haven't ordered the magwell adapter yet (thanks again for pointing me in that direction!). I have a few spare lowers collecting dust but on the other hand sometimes you can find an FM complete 9mm lower for $150 - $200 so thinking why not just spend a little extra and get LRBHO. Paralyzed by choice

Regardless, that PSA kit is pretty sweet. The only thing I would change about it (if I was PSA) is not using the SBA3 but going with the Magpul BTR brace...that thing is the bee's knees. The HAR-15 also looks sweet but have not touched one personally.

P.S. to your other comment, I find there are two camps of people regarding the drop in 22LR kits; pure love them or pure hate them, very little middle ground. And they are dirty...no doubt about that. I just bought a decent sized ultrasonic cleaner the other day, should arrive this weekend, hopefully it can help with the latter problem ;)

I agree, that brace sucks, but at least its a start. I have about a dozen standard lowers, so i did not want to invest in an another dedicated 9mm, So I went the psa kit with that mag adapter.

I really wanted to like the drop in 22LR kit, Was even going to make a dedicated rifle for it with no gas tube, But the barrel I was using was not good with 22LR. It was made locally by green mountain. I threw it in a 5.56 build and that thing drives nails its soo accurate.
