I picked one of these up. Build quality is decent, think Rossi without all the milling marks and burs. Action was smooth and trigger pull is 3lb on mine. Load gate is stiff but that is a know issue on all of these. Haven't had and issues with it double ejecting but I've only been using .38 specials for my suppressor. Pic rail is a little wonky and I couldn't get my PA SLx to fit but I think a good pistol dot with a quick release would work fine. This is my first 16" lever gun and was surprised at how small and compact it feels, and when adding the suppressor it feels like my normal length rifles and not out of balance.
so its threaded from the factory? cant tell by pic or description?
Had anyone seen these in the wild. Been to a few gun shows, Cabas etc and still nothing.
Curious about build quality
I bought one a year ago. Had to send it back due to feeding issues. It wouldn’t cycle a round or it would release too many when working the lever. I had to send it back. 1st time I’ve ever had to do that. It’s annoying and so it waiting 6 months. Finally said I wanted a different version so I could get it back sooner. The newer one works well right now. Only 2 boxes of 38 to say it’s good.
Man I am on the fence on buying one of these. I have been looking for a very lightweight rifle to hunt black tail here in my home state. I just have never seen the . 357 in action on live flesh and game. Obviously the round will hit hard enough to kill a deer but it's the range I am wondering about and the energy out at 100-150 yards. I've never shot a deer beyond those ranges as my area is very brushy. Has anyone actually used theirs to hunt game? What was your experience. I can speculate for days but real world experience is the best information.
