The end plate is one of the most over looked parts when it comes to upgrading your rifle. After all, that simple hunk of forged metal does a perfectly good job of holding your takedown pin detent and spring in place and providing material to stake your castle nut. Forward Controls Design wasn’t content to leave well enough alone, however and offers the End Plate, Sling Adapter, Forward Controls Design now available in heavy duty 4140 chrome moly steel.

Like all of FCDs designs, function came first. Basically bomb proof, the ESF incorporates three different quick-detach sling swivel sockets. The sockets on each side of the end plate are rotation limited to prevent slings from getting twisted. The central located rear socket is free rotating, allowing for smooth and easy transitions from shoulder-to-shoulder. The design also allows for SOMPOD and B5 Bravo stocks to completely collapse even with a rear facing QD swivel installed.
