As the other guy said....BS. The 22LR is just the last round to come back to earth. Why the hell bother to run your 22LR conversion when 9mm is down 20c or less. Anybody with half a brain can tell that the overall trend is downward despite your insignificant little examples (that's called NOISE in the trendline).

What is your theory . Have you checked the prices of the Remington 22 lr and others going up in price. Keep waiting for the prices to go down like Tony P .

I was going to say the same thing, why the hell is .22 still selling like there is no tomorrow?? And why the hell are people paying those ridiculous Gunbroker prices? People still line up every Friday at my local Gander at like 6am to buy it. Why is .22 the "Golden Bullet"? I get it is the most popular caliber, but prior to Newtown bricks were everywhere

When people stop buying it off gunbroker for 3x's what it's worth!

My wife and I placed 2 orders too. Then again a couple days later. Funny thing, I don't have a wife.

Was able to order it. By itself it came out to $24.66, which is still ok at 7.5 cents per rd.
I'm pretty well stocked in my other calibers, and just recieved 500 rds of S&B 9mm from Sportsman's Guide, or I would have brought it over $99 to get the free s/h.

Still in stock 08/25/14 @ 9:45AM PST

The deal is its in stock, and 325rds as of 10:30est 8/24. However, Bass pro is starting to consistently have american eagle, blazer, and federal 50 packs with a 2 box limit for $2.40ea which works out to 4.7 cents per round. Still not the 3.8cpr we were seeing for the federal 550 packs at Walmart for $19 before the panic. First availability recovers, then prices, then prices hopefully plunge.

With the coupon code "3Turkey" for Cabela's Visa holders it was free shipping. Most important part is this is my favorite ammo. It feeds and shoots MUCH better than ANY other bulk box ammo I have used. The 525 bulk boxes of Winchester, Remington, etc are cheaper, when you can find them, but they don't compare in quality.

Federal AutoMatch is the only .22 I buy because it is the best value in quality ammo. It feeds reliably in everything I own. I hope that it's only Cabela's closing it out and not the manufacturer.

3TURKEY only works with Cabelas' Visa "Classic" card, no other cards. Just a note...

That does seem wrong. At least the $5 shipping code should still work. I also picked up a box of .22WMR. Glad that they not only had it, but had it on sale!

Yeah pretty stupid that since I have a Black Card I can't get the free shipping with 3TURKEY. Sorry for spending too much on your CC.

2 votes

OMG, that is screwed up. Looks like if it is their Visa you would get it.

0 votes
2 votes

Yeah it lets you enter the code and go all they way through with the discount then says the promo is not valid with the cabela's club visa you are using...

Nineteen forty-seven. That was my total with tax, and using the 3turkey code for free shipping. Awesome.

At just under $24 out the door, it works out to a little less then 8c a round if I did my math right. Not a great deal, but not bad if you need some 22. I grabbed a box to try out in a couple firearms.

Wow.. Still in stock. Good sign

As it should be. It's $23 shipped, limit of one per shipping charge and 200 rounds short of a real brick. It might be in stock, but it's hardly a deal.

2 votes
6 votes

You forgot to say it isn't even plated, and there is no point in spending a little more to get better quality ammo. Derp.
Then again you should be measuring whether this is a deal by the price of THIS PRODUCT other places. Picked up in the store or shipped free, this IS a decent deal especially for these days.

Not really a deal IMO either. As stated above: not copper-washed, $23 shipped, limit of one per shipping charge and 200 rounds short of a real brick.

I bought a lot of Federal 525 packs (copped-washed) when they were $15 locally. I'd be happy to see those back at even $20 now.

Keep an eye @ Cabelas for the 4x525 in a new ammo box. Think they were $90 last time.

The price is right for Federal Auto-Match +- $1, add free shipping (and no tax for some) and this definitely qualifies as a "deal". Last box of Federal 525 I shot was bad, had 5-7% FTF.

Same here on the Federal. I have a box of Winchester that I've tried to give to friends. It has about a 20% fail to fire rate in every gun we've tried. Copper washed or not, the AutoMatch stuff just works better.

Baaaaah, My 10/22 shoots it 100%, and the SR22 98%....and lovin' it!

You kids know this stuff is FEDERAL too??! You think the brass/primers are different??!
