These are excellent fire starters. They last forever, are lightweight and easy to get a flame. Once the flame starts you get a nice burn long enough to get damp tinder started for further fire building in all aspects of home and outdoor situations. I carry them in my truck, my fishing box and my outdoor and hunting packs. Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.
