I think overflow material is in a CPG (consumer packaged goods) way not a typical steel work way. I read that and my first thought was waste material from casting being used.

But I think it more likely means something like they had x number of orders less for y more expensive action and ended up making z too many widgets (maybe bolts or even certain stage of receiver) and those widgets can also work or be made to work/into the cheaper classic product.

So it’s not waste material, it’s just something they made too much of for something else and hoped to recover some loss by selling it for less in a cheaper action.

“Overflow materials” could mean a number of things. Even if it were “scrap,” it can still be used to make a quality product. These guys make nice stuff, so it isn’t cheap.

With all due respect, You don't have to tell me "you don't have to comment on every listing"..if I choose to be an active member of this site, like I have been for over a decade just like you, that's my choice and right. Just like it's your right to make your replies and comments. Have a Merry Christmas!

And with all due respect to you, the comment section is (in my view at least) for comments about a product or seller (pros, cons, exorbitant shipping costs, shoddy craftsmanship, etc.), rather than someone’s inner monologue on virtually every posted “deal.”

No intended disrespect... Merry Christmas to you as well!

I actually agree with you. Yes I did sorta make an off the cuff statement on this ad however 95% of the time I try to be constructive and give my experience and opinion in order to help others make a wise choice. I am VERY active on here as I enjoy talking about guns, hearing others experience, opinions and so on. I try not to be argumentative or get involved in some of the nonsense that happens here on occasion, but I am not perfect either...I am an experienced firearms handler and own a very large amount of guns. I am also a writer for some blogs regarding firearms and the industry. Not everyone appreciates my contributions but that's ok, I have had many contact me for help or say they do appreciate my insight. So yes, I will always be active here.
