Description

Daniel Defense, or DD, is a leader in the field of tactical weapon design. They’ve packed this DDM4 PDW upper receiver with features to ensure fast handling, accuracy, and reliability. The product comes outfitted with a 6″ Daniel Defense MFR XL flat front rail, engineered to be compatible with a wide variety of accessories.

Designed for suppressor use, the MFR XL rail features a 1.61″ internal diameter, allowing part of the suppressor to be housed under the rail for compact usage. This upper is extremely popular, as it has a great design, and optimized for 300 Black Out. The muzzle itself will sit back under the rail, if you were to remove the blast director to install a suppressor. Look for one of the more standard suppressors with a outer diameter in the 1.55″ or less range. Keep in-mind that .300 BLK is going to be much easier to suppress than a 5.56mm round, so you do not need the most modern (and thicker) suppressors. You want a simple, direct thread .30 cal suppressor in the 1-1/2 diameter range to get under the rail!

The MFR XL rail utilizes the M-LOK attachment system for superior ergonomics, modularity, cooling, and significant weight savings, all without sacrificing the strength and durability that Daniel Defense products are renowned for. With M-LOK attachment points situated along the sides and bottom of the rail and an uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny rail on top, customization possibilities are endless.

To streamline the installation process and to boost strength, the Daniel Defense upper receiver includes a sleek bolt-up system. An increase in internal diameter provides clearance for suppressor attachment. And with anti-rotation tabs as standard, installation and alignment are a breeze.

Complementing the advanced rail system is an SLR Rifleworks M-LOK Handstop, Mod2, situated just before the muzzle. This hand stop aids in tactical maneuvering and enhances shooter safety.
